Recovery Capital Pilot Co-design Event

What better way to start the new year than to help design exciting new pilots that will help to make recovery a reality for more people across Peterborough? Creating the environment in which more people are able to take their first steps into recovery; can be supported along their recovery journey; and can be supported in their long term sustained recovery, requires the engagement of whole communities and open and fluid collaboration between organisations and community members. We hope this event will go some way to help develop this whole community response by bringing together people from across disciplines, sectors and experience including: 

-          Local people in recovery

-          Friends & family of people with addictions

-          Councillors

-          Commissioners

-          Health & Treatment practitioners including primary care workers & GPs

-          Community organisations

-          Community members

-          HMP Peterborough

-          Police

-          Probation

This is a major event for the Recovery Capital project – part of the Citizen Power Programme in Peterborough. At this unique event you will be presented with the key findings of the projects research (we interviewed 140 former and current problem drug and alcohol users in the city) and then will be asked to collaborate in creating exciting new community based initiatives that will support and sustain recovery for more people across the city.
