Tales from a Sea Journey

After the sell-out show Tales from the Middle of Town which took place in Queensgate Shopping Centre in October 2010, New International Encounter (NIE) return to Peterborough with Tales from a Sea Journey on Saturday 31 March in the more conventional Key Theatre studio space!

Using NIE’s trademark mix of storytelling, physical theatre, live music, multiple languages and a European ensemble of performers, Tales from a Sea Journey explores the pull and power of the sea, from both a very epic and very personal perspective. Presenting spellbinding stories from the world’s saltiest stage, the show is fresh from winning the Jury Prize for best show in a theatre festival in Serbia.  

Seafaring myths, shanties and vivid stories from the deep abound in this funny and moving 70 minute show – all inspired by a journey half way across the world.
