I thought it was a very good attendance by schools.

I was suprised that there is no intended budget for partnership working fee, whilst there is financial support for resource/ transport etc I think there needs to be clarity around what will financially underpin this work?

I made some good connections with other artists and renewed with other ex colleagues.

I think the next steps are rather vague - not sure what is next?
Thanks Di. Do keep us posted about specific ideas that might start to emerge from these new and renewed connections - so that we can provide support and challenge to see whether a curriculum project might be in the offing!

The funding model has always been based on covering costs rather a fee as such, in part - unfortunately! - because we are on a very tight budget, but also because the model is based on the idea of sufficient mutual benefit being gained by each party that they will be prepared to give their time for free. The informal and relationship based nature of the partnerships and the time required reflect the fact that not everyone will be able to engage at the same level without funding.

I hope my follow up email clarified the next steps for you - if not then I'm very happy to have a further chat! The major thing is for us to keep trying to involve a wider group, and for all those already engaged to be telling us about specific ideas and links that might provide the kernel for a project...

We've had some further feedback via email on what surprised people - I've copied some of the comments below:

"The sheer desire to cooperate, to give and take"

"Potentially a shared agenda on a huge scale"

"How many groups, individuals and organisations there are in Peterborough with different and a wide range of skills and knowledge."

"How much work has happened before this in terms of community involvement in schools."

"The number of schools interested in the area based curriculum idea is reassuring, and their opinions were surprising in a few instances"

"The only surprise was I had expected us to formulate some more tangible activity for curriculum use"
