Welcome to the Social Media project page. This project has changed since Citizen Power first started, in fact it is not a 'true' project like the other six. What's happening is that an RSA Fellow, Edward Truch has been awarded a small RSA Catalyst grant for a project called 'social media and social networks: making connections' - a part of which is taking place in Peterborough.
Since May 2011, Edward's team from Lancaster University have been in touch with PCVS and launched an online survey amongst the PCVS membership particularly focussing on adoption and use of social media across diverse communities in Peterborough. They are also carrying out a series of telephone interviews top supplement the findings of the survey. They are investigating how internet enabled communication builds, sustains and helps to mobilise social networks. We'll ask them to post their thoughts and findings here.
