UROCKING

I began UROCK youth Company in 2005 when I realised Young people benefit from an arts environment which supports them socially. They come to our group from across the city and the educational primary /secondary divide. Being part of the company means they make full commitment to the idea of exploring “The Arts” they try everything and they attend for 3 hours every Saturday morning. Enterprising outward looking with the ability to generate a cultural heart and understanding.
One thing you'd like to change about the place?
The city works together in the arts -education sectors and shares information and opportunity. Sustains initiatives and embeds the learning.
What areas of the Citizen Power project are you most interested in?
I am currently working with Map for RSA delivery to senior leaders in the city.

A primary school which has excellent diverse harmony.

Wrote and delivered 2 Arts council lottery projects:
Rootz Dance 2000 Roundabout Community Play 2004
Was an advanced skills performing arts teacher 26 years.
Now work as a Creative Agent for Creative Partnerships in East Midlands. First met Joce when I was Acting director of Norfolk Creative Partnerships 2005
Run my own youth company UROCK who had a "sell out tour" of the Fringe Festival Edinburgh 2006
