Have you lived in Peterborough long?
12 years
What is your own vision for Peterborough?
A city which i can be proud of. A place which is vibrant and modern offering a wide range of activites and events which engage local people at all levels no matte what their background.
One thing you'd like to change about the place?
The railway station. It is an eyesore and a terrible gateway to the city. The facility does not reflect what the city has to offer or its aspirations for the future.
What areas of the Citizen Power project are you most interested in?
I am the Peterborough City Council Citizen Power Programme Manager therefore I have an interest in all the strands.
What's your favourite place to eat in Peterborough?
Topogigio
Favourite place to go?
Ferry Meadows with my wife and two young children
If a Martian came to Peterborough, what would you show him/her/it to explain what the place was about?
Cathedral Square where old meets new
Tell us some more about yourself
Originally from a seaside town called Seaham on the East Durham coast (about 5 miles south of Sunderland) I moved to Peterborough in 1998 to pursue a different career direction.
I'm married to Angela and we have two children Harry aged 5 and Millie aged 3. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and their children.
I am Chair of Yaxley Cricket Club and my aim is to introduce opportunities for the youth in the club to become the best player they can be.
I enjoy an eclectic mix of music (from Prokofiev to The Clash), good wine and food and follow Sunderland football club (for my sins). I also have a passion for cooking and love trying new dishes.
