Facilities for the Blind and Partially sighted

I believe that in various states within America and even in England now, there are electronically powered gadgets that assist the Blind and partially sighted to negotiate their way around City Centres. Does anyone know of such items and where they are used in the UK, along with anyone's experiences of using them. See More

The Future of Cuckoo Hollow

In the recent Werrington plan, a very high percentage of the residents of Werrington supported the idea of keeping Cuckoo Hollow as an Environmental area.At present the Ward Councillors and Werrington Neighbourhood Council are working with the Local Authority to establish a more active group within the area to seek out any funding possibilities to keep this lake up to a high standard of natural beauty.It is in my opinion in dire need of a deep dredge to allow deeper water for fish to survive…See More
