I was at an interesting social media roundtably thing on Tuesday all about whether connecting neighbours can make areas better places to live. In the context of this, we discussed how sometimes social media, i.e. leaving posts or comments on websites, blogging and tweeting can be a daunting thing to do, particularly if you hold a public office and you've got a media team who at arms length from the action 'do that' or if you are in an organisation with a strict communications policy when you've got things to say.
One of the names that kept coming up as being rather good at walking this line was Cllr James Barbour in East Dulwich. I've just checked out his website and felt the urgent need to share his post from today's (1 December) about haikus and road safety.

How very wonderful, no?
